I really didn’t go anywhere or do anything special this weekend. Earlier tonight Bobby came over though and he showed me some good workouts. I’ve decided that it is time I started exercising and work on those arms of mine. It’s probably something I should have done a long time ago, but during school I lacked a large amount of motivation to do so. I want to get in shape and erase my skinny figure, even if just a little. And I’m now officially committed to do it. This was one of my post-college goals, so hopefully I stick with it. Some of the exercises Bobby has me doing now is:
- Tricep Extensions
- Bicep Curls
- Semi-Dips
- “21’s”
- Tricep Kickback
- Alternating Hammer Curls
Now mind you, I will shamefully admit I’ve pretty much have never done any of these in my life. I never was into sports because of my cerebral palsy, and besides basketball in sixth grade the most of a workout I’ve ever had in my life was band season. Pathetic, I know, so that’s why I’m determined to change. It’s really embarrassing I was having trouble doing a lot of these exercises with just a 20 pound weight. So for most of them until I build myself up I’m just using 10 pounds. I’m clearly a beginner here. Hopefully after a few months if I start seeing results, then I can eventually move on maybe catch the gym with Bobby. So I’m rather exciting about my new workout plan I’ve got set up.
I spent about $80 on some new jeans, a shirt, and a knit hat on GAP today. Nice clothes are Expensive! I really don’t have that much money, but I’m making enough at my crap job to get by now to buy myself some nice things. I just got done re-applying for some jobs from last week, pray for me that later this week I get a call from at least one of them! That’s it for today kind folks. Good Night.
